Dem Caught Sleeping During Testimony Of Illegal Alien Crime Victims

Dem Caught Sleeping on the Job…Literally

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) faced anger from his colleagues after he was seen sleeping during testimony from family members of the victims of illegal alien crime.

Two Republican congressman expressed outrage on social media, sharing photos of Nadler with his eyes shut and his head leaning up against his arm, appearing to be sleeping during the House Judiciary Committee hearing on the Biden-Harris administration’s border crisis on Tuesday. The hearing was specifically held to discuss the ongoing illegal alien violent crime crisis, with several family members of victims testifying to their terror and grief over the deaths of their loved ones. One of the attendees with the mother of murdered 12-year-old Texas resident Jocelyn Nungaray.

Despite being the ranking Democrat at the hearing, Nadler apparently couldn’t care less about the plight of these American families. Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC) shared a picture of Nadler dozing off, pointing out that this is Democrats’ reaction to stories of illegal aliens raping and murdering American women and children.

“In Judiciary Committee, we’re hearing from moms of girls and women beaten, raped, strangled, discarded and a boy poisoned to death by fentanyl,” Bishop wrote, adding “Democrats:” in reference to the picture of Nadler sleeping.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) also called out Nadler for sleeping.

“From frustrated families in the audience @JudiciaryGOP hearing listening to witnesses who lost loved ones to violent illegal aliens. Hardly any Dems present, those who are…” he trailed off, referring to the image of Nadler sleeping and the Democrat counsel texting.

Nadler did manage to acknowledge the grief of the witnesses during his opening remarks before falling asleep, though he still focused his comments on attacking Republicans for even holding the supposedly “partisan” hearing instead of agreeing to “bipartisan” solutions — which, to Democrats like Nadler, means legislation that would weakly address the massive influx of illegal aliens while focusing heavily on amnesty and allowing even more illegals to enter the country per day, like the so-called bipartisan border bill that failed earlier this year.

“I would like to take a moment and express my sincerest condolences to all of our witnesses who have lost loved ones, and to all of their families. I cannot imagine how difficult this loss has been for you, and I appreciate your being here to share their stories. May their memories be a blessing,” Nadler said in his opening remarks.

“Instead of working in a bipartisan fashion to find meaningful solutions to our broken immigration system, we are sitting in yet one more partisan hearing designed to divide us and to score political points before an election,” he continued.
