Check Out What Trump Just Dropped on Liz Cheney

President Donald Trump unloaded on Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney and her family while speaking at a campaign rally for her main opposition in Casper on May 28th. Trump has even backed Cheney’s opponent, Cheyenne-based lawyer Harriet Hageman in the August 16 Wyoming Republican primary.

“The Cheneys are diehard globalists and warmongers who have been plunging us into brand-new disputes for years, spilling American blood and spending American treasure all over the world,” Trump asserted.

“That’s why Liz Cheney voted no on bringing our soldiers back home from Syria, where they didn’t even want to have us,” he continued. “Cheney is at the front of the parade attempting to get us to go into wars with Russia or anyone else that wants to bite.”

Throughout the rally, Trump similarly revealed a meme of Cheney with the face of former President George W. Bush.

“She’s the face of the Washington overload and the exact same stopped working foreign policy of the Clintons, Bushes, the Obamas, the Bidens and the entire ill political establishment,” Trump said.

Cheney has really been amongst the most prolific and vehement critics of Trump within the Republican party, alienating her from the vast majority of her colleagues and earning what is tantamount to expulsion for voting to impeach him after the demonstration at the Capitol on January 6 and serving on the hyper-partisan House committee examining the demonstration.

The Wyoming Republican Party voted to no longer recognize Cheney as a member of the party in 2021 over her betrayal of Trump and the party’s MAGA platform. On a national level, House Republicans removed her from her function as conference chair.

Cheney officially revealed her reelection campaign the Thursday prior in a video address.

“Some things need to matter,” Cheney said in the video. “American flexibility, the rule of law, our founding principles, the foundations of our republic matter. What we do in this election in Wyoming matters.”

“I’m requesting for your vote because this is a fight we should win,” she continued.

A poll carried out bythe Club for Growth PAC from May 24-25, 2022, found Hageman to be leading Cheney by 30 points amongst most likely Wyoming Republican primary voters.

The Wyoming Republican primary will happen on August 16.
