A SWAT team raided a home in Palisades Park, New Jersey, finding that the occupants were running a drug mill with their children in the home.
A Palisades Park couple with young children are now being charged with running a drug mill from their home, after authorities seized 80 pounds of marijuana, along with $303,610 in alleged profits and a firearm during the SWAT raid.
When detectives, borough police, and the Bergen County Regional SWAT team raided the house, they found Massiel Inoa, 28, and her children in the home along with the evidence. Just moments before the raid was conducted, police stopped and arrested David Baez, 36, in his car as he drove away from the house that he shared with Inoa, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.
Baez had been the target of the investigation by Musella’s Narcotics Task Force and Hackensack police, as he was also wanted for a robbery that took place in New York City. When he was arrested, he was in possession of a .357 Magnum handgun and alleged drug cash.
According to the prosecutor, the SWAT raid on the home also found money orders and drug packaging materials.
Baez has been charged with one count of first-degree possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, one count of first-degree maintaining a drug production facility, one count of second-degree money laundering, and one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun.
