Investigators received information that a suspicious white box truck was “playing audio similar to what was heard before the Christmas Day explosion” in Nashville, TN.
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office reported that a suspicious vehicle had been parked at Crossroads Market in Walter Hill at around 10:30 a.m.
Law enforcement pulled the vehicle over for a traffic stop on 231 South near the Cedars of Lebanon State Park on the morning of December 27, and ordered residents in the nearby area to evacuate as a precaution. The box truck was reportedly playing “Downtown” by Petula Clark, the same song as the vehicle that exploded in Nashville on Christmas morning.
A robot was deployed, which approached and hit the box truck, but no explosion occurred. Law enforcement searched the vehicle, and found no explosives.

The truck driver is currently being detained. According to authorities, a minor was also found inside the truck.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol has taken the lead in the investigation, though the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Wilson County deputies were called to the scene as well. The southbound side of Highway 231 was closed from the Cedars of Lebanon State Park to Richmond Shop road until 3:30 p.m.
The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office has promised to release updates as more information becomes available.
