President Joe Biden once again put his cognitive decline on display after he appeared to confuse a military strike with a labor strike.
Biden was exiting a vehicle after coming back from yet another vacation when reporters began shouting questions at him. First Lady Jill Biden, who typically tries to usher her husband away from reporters or answers the question for him, exited the vehicle and quickly began walking away while leaving her husband to fend for himself with the press. Surprisingly, he was able to answer a few questions about Israel and the escalating military conflict with Iran-backed terror groups like Hezbollah. However, his response to a follow-up question about “strikes in Yemen” led to a rather concerning mix-up.
“Mr. President, will you deploy more U.S. troops to the Middle East?” one reporter shouted, to which Biden responded: “No.”
“Mr. President, has Netanyahu gone too far?” another reporter asked.
Biden did not respond to that question, but he did approach the gathering of reporters.
“Any comment on the strikes in Yemen, Mr. President?” another reporter asked.
Even though he had already answered a question about the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Biden somehow either misheard this question or genuinely thought he was being asked about a simple labor dispute.
“I’ve spoken to both sides. They gotta settle the strike. I’m supporting the collective bargaining effort. I think they’ll settle the strike,” Biden replied.
REPORTER: "Any comment on the strikes in Yemen, Mr. President!?"
BIDEN (or whatever's left of him): "I've spoken to both sides. They gotta settle the strike. I'm supporting the collective bargaining effort. I think they'll settle the strike."

It is likely that Biden was referring to the East Coast dockworkers’ strike, which was set to start within hours of this conversation.
Regardless, many have pointed out that this gaffe is just further evidence of Biden’s cognitive decline.
“Just so we’re all clear on what’s happening here — Jill Biden walks off without him, he is then asked about the Israeli IDF missile strikes in Yemen, and his reply is that he supports a union collective bargaining agreement and thinks that the strike will end soon,” conservative pundit Stephen L. Miller explained in a post on X.

In a follow-up post, Miller pointed out that until Biden ended his reelection bid, anyone who dared to highlight his cognitive decline was attacked — while Vice President Kamala Harris, other Democrats, and the mainstream media all covered up his decline.
“Back in June, you were called a conspiracy theorist and a cheap fake artist for pointing things like this out,” he wrote.
