Biden Admits ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ Was A Lie

During a speech on Thursday, President Joe Biden admitted that conservatives were right — the Democrats lied about so-called “Inflation Reduction Act,” as it had practically nothing to do with reducing inflation.

Biden traveled to rural Wisconsin on Thursday as part of an effort to push his administration’s efforts at rural electrification and discuss the attempt to expand high-speed internet — which has not connected a single American after more than 1,000 days, despite spending a whopping $42.5 billion.

During the speech in Westby, Wisconsin, Biden announced a $7.3 billion investment in rural electrification to be distributed across 16 co-ops that will provide electricity in rural areas across 23 states — noting that the funds came from the controversial “Inflation Reduction Act.” Despite this measure’s title, critics have pointed out that it was actually just a climate change bill masquerading as a measure to curb inflation.

While Democrats have repeatedly touted the measure for helping with their green energy goals, they have thus far refused to acknowledge that they lied to the American people by naming it the “Inflation Reduction Act” — until now.

Biden admitted to the crowd at the event that he “should have called” the Inflation Reduction Act “what it was.”

“I’m proud to announce that my investments, through my investments, the most significant climate change law ever — and by the way it is a $369 billion bill — it’s called the, we should have named it what it was,” he said.

Critics slammed the Biden-Harris administration on social media after Biden’s rambling speech.

“In case you’re wondering why gas & groceries are still so expensive, Joe Biden just admitted the ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ was never about inflation—just a Green New Steal slush fund. Guess they woke him up too early from his nap,” wrote Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC).

“Biden admits what we’ve said all along: The Inflation Reduction Act was a climate change bill—$369 BILLION in climate handouts and slush funds—and should’ve been called that. This is why costs are so high. Kamala Harris cast the deciding vote to pass it. Shameful,” wrote Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA).

“Biden’s dementia accidentally made him slip and say what the Inflation Reduction Act was really about – climate change. We were mocked for saying this, and we were right,” wrote conservative commentator Sarah Rose.
