Republicans are accusing first lady Jill Biden of violating the law after she led the Biden-Harris administration’s first White House cabinet meeting in nearly a year.
Since President Joe Biden ended his reelection bid, many Republicans have questioned who is really running the country — pointing out that Biden’s cognitive decline was the main reason that he dropped out, which means that he is unfit to lead the country and must be delegating his tasks as president to someone else.
On Friday, those concerns were elevated after Jill Biden was seen sitting at the head of the table during a White House cabinet meeting, while Joe Biden barely interacted with the meeting’s attendees other than giving a short, scripted speech. Jill Biden claims that she simply attended the meeting to share an update on a White House women’s health research initiative.

Joe Biden read from a script during the meeting, stating: “I want to discuss very briefly the need for Congress to pass a continuing resolution. It’s critical.”
“We need to continue to implement the historic laws we passed,” he added. “They’ve allowed us to invest in America, rebuild our infrastructure and implement our historic laws.”
“I’d like to turn it over to Jill for any comments she has. It’s all yours, kid,” Biden said.

Conservatives responded to the shocking clip on social media, questioning whether Jill Biden leading the meeting was “unconstitutional” and wondering who exactly is running the country.

Conservative commentator Collin Rugg responded: “A sickly-looking Joe Biden turns over his Cabinet meeting to his wife Jill Biden who was sitting at the head of the table.”
“The First Lady has been accused of ‘running the show’ around the White House and pressuring Biden to stay in the race before he was forcibly removed,” he added.
