U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has confirmed that the Jeffrey Epstein files are sitting on her desk for review.
Bondi broke the news during an interview on February 21 on Fox News Channel’s “America Reports.” Bondi and newly confirmed FBI Director Kash Patel have both discussed releasing the documents about the sex trafficker and convicted pedophile, though Patel vowed to do so “on day one” — which would have been February 21, the day he was sworn into office.
Fox News host John Roberts questioned Bondi about how she had “alluded to” the Department of Justice (DOJ) making the Epstein client list public, noting that this was also something that President Donald Trump “talked about.”
“The DOJ may be releasing the list of Jeffrey Epstein’s clients. Will that really happen?” he asked.
“It’s sitting on my desk right now to review,” Bondi answered. “That’s been a directive by President Trump.”
She went on to note that she is also in the process of reviewing the files on the assassinations of former President John F. Kennedy and reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Trump signed an executive order in January to declassify records related to these assassinations, as well as the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy.
“I’m reviewing that, I’m reviewing JFK files, MLK files. That’s all in the process of being reviewed because that was done at the directive of the president – from all of these agencies,” Bondi said.
Roberts then asked Bondi whether she had “seen anything” that made her go, “Oh my gosh.”
“Not yet,” she replied.

Some court documents related to Epstein were unsealed and released in January 2024 as part of a lawsuit filed by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre in 2015. Two of the most high-profile names in those documents were former President Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew.

Meanwhile, Americans on both sides of the aisle have been demanding the release of all Epstein files for a long time now. Many are already celebrating on social media in response to Bondi’s comments, though they are calling for her to hurry up.
“Release the list and expose the criminals!” wrote podcaster Tim Pool.

“Her office better be on complete lockdown with armed guards, lasers, trap doors, and 3 foot thick concrete walls… the quicker she releases that thing, the better,” one user warned.
