Karine Jean-Pierre should have stayed on vacation.
When she showed back up in the press room this week, all hell broke out.
It would appear that some journalists are sick and tired of being ignored.
What About My Question
The presser was a bit contentious from the outset.
However, the last few minutes were pure gold.
Jean-Pierre and a female journalist got into a shouting match and Jean-Pierre just seemed to lose total control over the situation.
Pierre tried to shut down a journalist shouting a question, stating, “I was supposed to go to Chris in the back and I skipped him, so I’m going to go back to him.”
The journalist fired back, “I’ve been asking you a question for a long time.”
Then the fun really started…
The press core is starting to get frustrated, with one journalist stating, “She is poorly received as she isn’t taking time to answer questions or banter with reporters on the issues of the day.
“A press secretary has to share some information, kind of a give and take, but she just doesn’t appear willing to do that yet. … Too often, she is telling reporters that she ‘has nothing from the podium’ to say, which is a waste of everyone’s time.”
I think it is safe to say, Karine has lost the room.
