It isn’t often that conservatives get a chuckle out of a story related to Antifa but this one will make your day. After the Portland chapter of the lawless anarchists decided to start a gun battle with notorious biker gang the Gypsy Jokers, and lost, they literally stole the microphone from the hands of impotent cops “and began blaming the police for failing to do their jobs to protect them.” They chased a Portland Police Lieutenant away from his own press conference, howling that Mayor Ted Wheeler doesn’t care about protecting them from vigilantes. Someone needs to teach them the definition of the word “anarchy.” They asked for it and they got it.

Antifa picks wrong gunfight

Admittedly violent members of the Antifa movement intentionally armed themselves and decided to pick a fight with “a notorious” Portland, Oregon area biker gang.

One former resident notes, “the Portland Gypsy Jokers are reputedly among the most violent, drug dealing, anti-social biker posses this side of the Hells Angels. They’re some bad dudes. Worse than Corn Pop.” They’re also deplorable conservative nationalists.

Local news initially reported “gunfire erupted” leaving at least one person dead and five others injured on Saturday night, February 19. Police didn’t say much at first, and didn’t mention Antifa. They claimed to be “still sorting things out.

All they divulged was that cops “were called on Saturday night shortly after 8 p.m” and when they got there they found “a disturbance that quickly escalated into gunfire.” Police weren’t doing any of the shooting.

Scanner traffic soon announced “multiple people have been shot. One possible fatality.” Local reporter Connor McCarthy tweeted that he “saw at least two victims being transported to the hospital.

Eventually, Portland Police admitted, “this incident started with a confrontation between an armed homeowner and armed protesters.” Armed Antifa® protesters. After a little while McCarthy added an update noting “preliminary investigation found the shooting started as a confrontation between an armed protester and an armed neighbor who lives nearby.

Press conference hijacked

The following day, the cops sent a spokesperson out to do damage control. “Portland Police Public Information Officer Lt. Nathan Sheppard attempted to update the media on the shooting melee in Northeast Portland.

The reason he only “attempted” to talk to the press is because “two known Antifa militants took over the news conference, commandeered the microphones, and began blaming the police for failing to do their jobs to protect them.” They’re serious, too.

Antifa representatives Hailley Nolan and Dustin Ferreira hijacked the microphone and gave the whole story. The night before, they complain, “their comrades had gone to confront members of notorious Portland area biker gang the Gypsy Jokers.” Police already confirmed “at least one of the Antifa militants was armed.

Nolan boldly declared, “it was the Portland Police Bureau’s fault” one of their members “died in the shooting melee and five others were wounded.” She alleges that the police set it up as an ambush. “They are sending Gypsy Jokers to kidnap us.

Then she began a tirade, poking her finger at Lt. Sheppard while accusing “the police of encouraging the violence against Antifa.

The police, she accuses, “are sanctioning this violence against us. We are dying. We are trying to peacefully protest and they are killing us. And I want to know if any of you care. I want to know if Ted Wheeler cares.” That’s when the anarchists sent the police lieutenant scrambling to his car for safety. It’s time to let the Gypsy Jokers provide security for the city.
