The Hamas-Israel conflict continues to rage on as Gaza remains a hotbed of activity. Now, in light of the recent bombing at a hospital in the Gaza Strip, thousands of protesters have stormed U.S. and Israeli embassies across the multiple Islamic countries.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the Israeli Defense Forces did not launch the attack, instead pointing to a third-party jihadist group, Islamic Jihad. The officials claim that it was a rocket fired by this group that caused a massive explosion when it was intercepted by Iron Dome defense systems near the hospital which consequently caused destruction of weapons near by.
These events have sparked outrage across many Muslim nations who have now unitedly accused Israel for launching an intentional air strike against them.
As Al Jazeera and other news outlets pegged the death toll at 800 people, protests and riots have erupted all over Islamic countries such as Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon.
In Jerusalem gunfire could be heard after West Bank protesters clashed with Palestinian Authority security forces and possibly IDF border personnel outside several embassies. Protesters attempted to break into both Israeli consulate in Jordan and embassy in Ankara but were stopped before they could do so; Turkish officials are urging them to disperse peacefully.
The state department has yet to issue any comment regarding this situation but Beirut protesters appear to have set fires inside U.S Embassy compound while throwing rocks at security personnel surrounding it. Moreover Baghdad’s huge U.S embassy has raised its alert status due to ongoing protests throughout multiple cities affecting diplomatic missions around these regions.
Israel military officials deny any involvement from their side claiming that it was indeed a third party jihadist group behind these attacks which resulted in destruction upon intercepting from Iron Dome defense systems, although multiple governments including Iran, Jordan, Egypt and Turkey among others accuse Israel of committing war crimes through intentional bombing.
