Numerous Americans have made their way to Ukraine to help this country push Russia back out.
Sadly, two of them are now dead.
Reports broke late Friday that both fought and died in the Donbas region.

The identities of the two Americans were not yet released.
This is done out of respect to the families until they can be notified of their loss.
The State Department announced the news on Friday evening.
Per ABC News, the State Department stated, “We can confirm the recent deaths of two U.S. citizens in the Donbas region of Ukraine.
“We are in touch with the families and providing all possible consular assistance.”
Officials added that no further information would be provided “out of respect to the families during this difficult time.”
