When asked by Tucker about his opinion on crumbling American cities, Pence said it was not his concern.

The main point of contention during this exchange centered around providing aid to Ukraine while it is engaged in conflict with Russia.
When confronted by Carlson about his stance on religious liberty protection within Ukraine, Pence stated that he does not support arresting clergy for having different views because it violates basic tenets of freedom.
He also mentioned that he would not stand by if people were persecuted due to their religious beliefs.
Pence defended his decision to certify the electoral results of 2020’s election and called Trump’s actions “reckless” as they endangered him and everyone at the Capitol on that day.

He expressed confidence in America’s current election system but did agree with recent Republican-led reforms concerning election integrity such as requiring photo IDs when voting.

When asked about completely eliminating electronic voting machines, Pence said he was open to that idea but emphasized that states are ultimately responsible for governing elections.
