An astonishing video captured the moment when Walmart patrons in Miami rushed in to restrain a male who attempted to rape a lady after he raised her dress and tore off her undergarments.
The frightening event occurred about 9:30 p.m. Sunday inside the Miami-Dade store on Northwest 79th Street, where the guy approached the victim from behind, NBC Miami reported.
The suspect, recognized as Bredan Harvey, 28, of Miami Gardens, pulled up the woman’s dress, grabbed her genital area and tore her underwear after he pushed her to the flooring, police stated.
But other shoppers rushed to the lady’s aid after she started screaming.

Harvey was charged with sexual battery and remanded to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, CBS 4 reported.
“It wasn’t somewhere isolated. He didn’t care it was in the wide open,” Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said, NBC Miami reported.
“Because he was so brazen, investigators feel perhaps he may have done this before, and there may be more victims,” he added.
“That’s really unsafe,”said Mikaila Carroll, who often shops at the the store in the 3200 block of Northwest 79th Street to The Daily Mail “I would come into a Walmart to grocery shop.”
“Just for somebody to come up to me, not thinking that somebody is going to come up to me, touching me, it’s just scary as a female too,’ she added.
Shopper Kayla Carter revealed to Local10 that she was left speechless after witnessing the assault.
“I don’t even know what to say, I’m at a loss of words,” she said. “Where is the protection? It’s a shame, it’s a shame there are kids that come here, there are families.”

Cops are asking anyone with details to call the Sex Crimes Investigation Unit at 305-715-3300.
“The safety of our associates and customers is among our top priorities. We’re very disturbed to see something like this happening to a customer in our store and are grateful that the assailant was captured and detained until police arrived,” Walmart representative Robert Arrieta informed The Post in an email.
