Members of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua who took over an apartment building in Aurora, Colorado, have been arrested in New York City during a major drug and firearms bust.
Earlier this year, the illegal alien gang members were caught on video storming an apartment building in Aurora, armed with several firearms. The story and the footage went viral, leading to heightened concerns about the growing problem of Tren de Aragua. Somehow, following that shocking incident, these gang members made their way to New York City.

During an early morning raid in the Bronx on September 27, 23-year-old Denyeer Aramillo Meneses and 25-year-old Edison Pena Angulo — both of whom are illegal aliens, members of Tren de Aragua, and alleged participants in the Aurora apartment takeover — were arrested by New York Police Department (NYPD) officers and Department of Homeland Security agents.
An additional 13 suspected gang members were arrested during the raid as well. The raid was the result of a more than one-year-long investigation into gang violence and drug trafficking.
“Enough already with these guys,” one officer told the New York Post. “[Tren de Aragua’s] time is up.”
With Tren de Aragua reportedly having a foothold in at least 17 U.S. states, it is not exactly shocking that this arrest occurred — though it is surprising that they made their way from Colorado to New York City and began committing even more crimes in such a short time.
The Tren de Aragua members arrested during the Bronx raid were reportedly selling several different drugs, including heroin, the synthetic drug known as Tussi, and fake marijuana. They were also found with a trove of hidden firearms.

It is currently unclear as of Friday evening what these Venezuelan gang members are being charged with, as the federal indictments against them are sealed at the moment. However, Meneses and Angulo had been charged with burglary and menacing with a firearm for their actions at the apartment complex in Aurora.
