All is not well with Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social.
It has struggled from the start, but there now appear to be some basic problems that should not be happening if Devin Nunes actually knew what he was doing.
Included in this mess are financial problems that could end the social media outlet before it ever gets off the ground.
Get It Fixed
I was amazed at a story in Axios that the trademark application for Truth Social was denied.
I have filed for trademarks, and it is a fairly easy process.
Any decent attorney will do the legwork beforehand to see if there will be any problems.
Trump’s team either did not do that before branding, which is a huge mistake, or rolled the die.
Either way, the application being denied is a bonehead move and I would be firing people for it right now.
The second issue is that bills are not being paid.
RightForge is claiming it is owed $1.6 million and is moving toward legal action to recover the money.
The company stated that payments stopped in March, only three payments into the financial commitment.
Then there are the developmental issues.
The app’s desktop version is finally available, but it is still not working for Android, which owns about 80 percent of the smartphone market.
We are three months away from elections and this project is at least six months behind where it wanted to be, not to mention the financial issues it is facing.
Mr. Nunes, you better get on the ball because I cannot imagine Trump being willing to sit back for much longer and allow this site to fall apart.
If Truth Social goes down, Democrats will feast.
