As the days of January drew to a close and President Trump from the links declared that not only was he the 45th President of the United States but would also be the 47th, many online and on the mainstream media took a moment to jeer and laugh at him. Seven days later, they aren’t laughing anymore. No, now they’re panicking. While Trump has yet to take the formal step of actually declaring his candidacy for President of the United States for 2024, according to The Wallstreet Journal, Trump already has more than $122 million in his election war chest! Approximately $51 million of that figure was raised in the closing days of 2021, showing an enormous boost in the President’s popularity and capacity to move his donors to support him.
The Journal wrote,
“the vast majority of [the money] came from donations of less than $200 made online. The fundraising haul was less than he raised during the first six months of last year but still the most of any GOP figure during the second half of last year.”
Even the most confirmably leftist publications in the nation like WSJ had to concede that Trump’s fundraising prowess is “unprecedented”.
They added, “The political war chest is an unprecedented amount of money for a former president to wield as Mr. Trump seeks to maintain his hold on the Republican Party. The cash on hand total was about the same as the Democratic and Republican national committees reported to start 2022—combined,”
Trump’s War Chest and Polling Are DOMINATING THE FIELD
President Trump even used the occasion to level a shot at The New York Times for their failure to acknowledge the groundbreaking political feat.

Trump said in a statement,
“The Failing New York Times refuses to acknowledge that the power of the Trump endorsement is far stronger today than ever before — it is virtually unblemished! Our Country can never be strong again unless we have an honest, open, and fair media and sadly, our media is largely fake and corrupt. The people of our Country demand the truth!”
While Trump’s decision to run in 2024 remains up in the air at least in an official sense, his statement makes clear that flying the President wing is more desirable than ever and his polling numbers which are undeniably dominant underscore the point nicely. Donald Trump is out-polling and out-fundraising everyone else on the field.
