The left is having an absolute meltdown over a statement made by Senator JD Vance immediately after the shooting of Donald Trump.
Vance pointed the finger at Democrats for having riled up their base.
According to former Obama adviser David Axelrod, that should be enough to disqualify Vance as Trump’s VP.
Just Holding Them Accountable
Vance held nothing back, posting within just a couple of hours of the Trump assassination attempt.
He posted, “Today is not just some isolated incident.
“The central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs.
“That rhetoric led directly to President Trump’s attempted assassination.”
Every letter of that statement is true, but Axelrod did not see it that way.
He responded, “If @JDVance1 is on the short list for VP, this Tweet, sent an hour after the assassination attempt in PA, ought to disqualify him in the eyes of the Trump campaign.
“As we now are learning, the gunman’s profile doesn’t seem to match Vance’s premise.
“But at least wait and see! Trump probably doesn’t want a shoot-from-the-hip VP.”
That was not shooting from the hip, but instead, it was brutal honesty that the mainstream media needs to be held accountable to report the words of Dems the way they do Republicans.
Democrats have been getting their base whipped up about Donald Trump since 2015 when he first announced his initial campaign.
The only thing that shocked me about the attempt on Trump’s life was that it took so long for it to happen.
This is what Democrats do… they get the public whipped up with inflammatory statements, then act horrified when something happens as a result of their statements.
I mean, Joe Biden literally put a “bullseye” on Trump just days before the assassination attempt, then tried to back off the statement, claiming he only meant to put focus on Trump.
You will never be able to convince me that Democrats did not want this to happen.
