Senator McConnell (R-KY) is not among Donald Trump’s favorite people.
If it was possible, he went even lower in standing after warning people that November is unlikely to bring a Republican-controlled Senate.
Trump fired up his Truth Social account and let McConnell have it.

Trump pulled no punches, stating, “Why do Republicans Senators allow a broken down hack politician, Mitch McConnell, to openly disparage hard working Republican candidates for the United States Senate.
“This is such an affront to honor and to leadership.
“He should spend more time (and money!) helping them get elected, and less time helping his crazy wife and family get rich on China!”
Uhm, Donald… that crazy wife, well, you hired her as your Secretary of Transportation.
That is not to say that we don’t agree with you, but you are now going after yet another former staffer you put into your cabinet.
We also agree that as Senate party leader, McConnell’s job is not to disparage candidates, but to help them with their races.
Although McConnell does not believe this, he has no say in who people want to represent them.
Once they are chosen, his job is to rally behind them and help them win, then get them on the same page for legislation.
One final note… McConnell’s Senate Leadership Fund has shelled out about $60 million to Trump-backed candidates so far.
Donald Trump has barely spent a penny from his PACs, which have about $250 million in the bank.
I am all for Trump calling out McConnell here, but Trump needs to start spending that money on his people, which is why it was donated in the first place.
Trump’s fundraising took a lot of money away from RNC and other Republican fundraising, but virtually all of it is still sitting on the sidelines.
These candidates need help, so it is time for Trump to unleash that war chest.
