That is the motive behind the FBI raid at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.
This is a blatant weaponization of our DOJ to take out a political candidate.
Based on the previous report of Trump removing classified documents, then turning over 15 cases to the National Archives, this raid could possibly bar Trump from ever running for office again.

My understanding of the raid was that it was initiated because National Archives believes there would still be classified documents at the Trump residence.
It was also reported that authorities stated that Trump had not been as cooperative as he had been prior to the 15 initial cases being returned.
Now, we know FBI agents left with documents, but what those documents are remains a mystery.
Here is the kicker in all of this… U.S. Code Title 18, Section 2071.
Mark Elias, a former Hillary Clinton campaign attorney, stated, “Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States.”
If they find a single document, technically, Trump could be barred from running for president.
That is the reward… the risk is if they came up empty, they have not only assured Trump of running, but they also probably just gave him enough material to use during an election to assure him of a huge win.
In fact, Trump has already released an ad inspired by this raid…
His son Eric also appeared on Hannity all but confirming his father will run again.
He stated, “I hope – and I’m saying this for the first time – I hope he goes out and beats these guys again.
“Because honestly, this country can’t survive this nonsense. It can’t.”
