We have yet another scandal that is attached to Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.).
I honestly have no idea what this guy was thinking when he ran for office.
To his credit, this time, the scandal took place AFTER he was sworn into office, not the laundry list of scandals that he accumulated before taking office.
Wanna Hang Out
The complaint was filed by Derek Myers, 30.
Myers had only been hired to work for Santos a few days prior to the incident, actually incidents, because there are two complaints related to Myers.
The first being that while working in the office, Santos put his hands on Myers leg, then attempted to touch his groin.
Santos allegedly invited Myers back to his place, telling him that his husband was away for the weekend.
The second scandal is a labor issue, in that Santos told Myers he could work for him as a volunteer until his paperwork cleared.
That complaint is demanding an investigation into the possible “violation of allowing a volunteer to work in the workplace and offload work from paid staff members onto the volunteer with the promise of future employment.”
We obviously do not yet know if these accusations have any merit, but Santos’ record pretty much speaks for itself.
He has already had more scandals in his first month in office than Trey Gowdy did for his entire career.
