Thieves have stolen $1M in jewelry from a Hollywood actress’s California home, and she said that she feels very violated by it.
Disgraced actress Lori Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli were recently victims of a robbery from their Los Angeles-based home.
The thieves made off with $1M in jewelry during a daring break-in at their home, according to a recent report.
Most know Loughlin as the former “Full House” star who spent two months in jail in 2020 due to being convicted in a ploy to bribe college officials for admission for her children.
Unfortunately, her fashion designer husband was also involved in the scheme, and he too spent some time in jail. In his case, he lost about five months of his freedom due to the scheme.
Surveillance cameras discovered the burglars smashing the bedroom window at Loughlin and Giannulli’s home on the 3rd of January, and they were dressed in black and had their faces completely covered with masks, according to the Hollywood periodical TMZ.
Apparently, the intruders made off with one large box full of Loughlin’s bling, and the robbery and break-in were discovered by one of the Loughlin-Giannulli family’s housekeepers.
Things could have gone much worse for the embattled couple, but luckily for Loughlin and Giannulli, they were not home at the time of the heist.
Even though this story happened just about a month ago, there is now a new twist to it: the police now believe that the heist was executed by a group of South American criminals who hit locations around the United States and then escape the country before authorities can catch them, according to TMZ.
Loughlin was back in the news a few days before that when she was lamenting the death of her “Full House” cast member Bob Saget.
“I love you Bobby,” Loughlin said to Page Six.
Either way, hopefully the police can recover the $1M in jewelry that was taken from her house and bring the culprits to justice.
