Venezuela will invade Puerto Rico over Donald Trump’s dead body, the island territory’s governor declared. She’s already informed the incoming president about Nicolás Maduro’s threat. Jenniffer González-Colón is standing by, “ready to work with” Trump on a proper response to the Latin American dictator.
Venezuela talks tough
Venezuela wants to invade our territory. On Monday, January 13, Puerto Rico’s Republican Governor Jenniffer González-Colón wrote a letter about it to President Trump.
Maduro thinks he can take Trump’s promises of Panamanian intervention and twist them around in his favor. It’s about to blow up in his face.
In her letter to Trump, Governor González-Colón shows she’s focused on results. She “fully expects” the president to “swiftly respond.” Without telling him what to do, she’s standing by to help.

Recognizing that Maduro was “saber-rattling” over the weekend, she noted that the “murderous” dictator of Venezuela is attempting to “grow his influence” in the region.
“Yesterday, just a few days after holding an illegitimate swearing-in ceremony in a desperate attempt to cling on to power in Venezuela, socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro publicly proposed an invasion of Puerto Rico.” Can you believe it?
“This is an open threat to the United States, our national security, and stability in the region,” she added.
In Trump she trusts
“I trust your incoming administration will swiftly respond and make clear to the Maduro regime that, under your leadership, the United States will protect American lives and sovereignty and will not bow down to the threats of petty, murderous dictators.” He couldn’t have said it better himself.
She clearly gave Venezuela a piece of her mind. At least she’s not whining about more money to prop up the failing economy, like her predecessors have been.
The 62-year-old Gliteratti dictator “issued the ominous warning on Saturday during a speech at the International Anti-Fascist Festival in Venezuela’s capital city of Caracas.”

He’s seriously miffed that all the Tren de Aragua gangsters are about to be dropped off on the beaches of Venezuela.
“Just as in the north they have a colonization agenda, we have a liberation agenda,” Maduro orated. “And our agenda was written by Simón Bolívar,” he added.
He thought invoking the name of 19th-century South American revolutionary who put Venezuela on the map would help convince his oppressed citizens. It’s funny how he relies on help from his neighbors to go up against Trump. “The freedom of Puerto Rico is pending, and we will achieve it with Brazilian troops.“
