Time is running out and Beto is going the wrong way.
Beto O’Rourke the Irishman who changed his name to sound more Hispanic, is losing ground to Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
Abbott is now eight points ahead of Beto and getting smaller and smaller in the mirror every day.
Not Happening
At one point, Beto got inside of five points, but then he ran out of steam.
Even since Uvalde, Beto had been backing up.
The latest Marist poll has Abbott well ahead at 52-44.
The one area of concern, however, is Independent voters.
Somehow, Beto is beating Abbott 49-39.
Marist Institute for Public Opinion director Lee Miringoff stated, “Gov. Abbott is advantaged by the fact that Republicans outnumber Democrats in the state, and more Republicans than Democrats definitely plan to vote… In order to pull off an upset, O’Rourke needs to bank on the greater enthusiasm of his supporters translating into a greater turnout among younger, independent, urban and suburban voters.”
If there is one thing Republicans do in the state of Texas, it would be to show up and vote.
Beto, you are about to be a three-time loser.
