Four Texas Middle-School students have been arrested after videos erupted on social media of them chasing down and viciously beating a High-School Physics teacher and Assistant Baseball Coach at the Langham Creek High School of Houston. The four students from nearby Aragon Middle School were spotted on campus during baseball practice when Coach Michael Shott spotted them riding dirtbikes and ATVs on school property. Coach Shott stepped in and confronted them.
Peggy Shott told local affiliate KTRK, “The reason it happened to him was because he was doing his job. He stopped the kids.” According to witnesses at first, as Shott began to walk away one of the children attacked him and then the other three joined in chasing him down and ambushing him. In raw cellphone videos released online, Shott is seen retreating as they knock him to the ground, breaking his arm.
Teacher Forced To Flee From Attacking Students
While the four students have been taken into custody by police, the situation escalated and Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD) confirmed that public threats had been made against the school. Fox 29 reported that according to Alena Gonzales, a sophomore at Langham Creek High after the students were arrested, “their older friends threatened to shoot up our school,”.

Naturally, the school beefed up security in response, “We couldn’t walk around unless we had an ID badge, they wouldn’t even let us in. I have athletics first period so I didn’t have it on, my teacher wouldn’t let me in unless I put it on.”
CFISD Superintendent Dr. Mark Henry made a statement regarding the attack and threats on February 11th asking for tips from the public.
“The recent safety violations that have occurred both on and off our campuses are extremely disappointing. I want to reassure you that we are taking these actions very seriously.
Our campuses must be the safest places in our community for students, staff and visitors. We will not tolerate anyone compromising the safe environment of our campuses, and will address violations to the greatest extent possible.
We continue to encourage students, staff and community members to inform administrators, campus police officers or police dispatchers if they see or hear suspicious or illegal activity. The CFISD Tipline is accessible at the top of every district and campus webpage. The CFISD Police Dispatch can be reached 24/7 at 281-897-4337.
Thank you for helping us maintain and reinforce a safe and secure environment in our schools and in our community.”
