It appears that former White House strategist and political adviser Steve Bannon has some interesting thoughts about the upcoming 2024 election.
During a segment on his “War Room” podcast, Bannon predicted that it will be nothing but a war between President Donald Trump and whoever ends up as the general election nominee of the Democratic Party.
He also suggested that the Republican National Committee (RNC) and donors may try to block Trump from running again in 2024.
Furthermore, Bannon made headlines recently with his thoughts on who he thinks should be Trump’s running mate for this next election.
His preference is for Arizona Republican Kari Lake, but if she isn’t interested, he proposed Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who recently announced his intention to run for president in 2024, as a potential choice.
Trump insiders have revealed a few qualities they think are necessary for someone to become Vice President under Trump in 2024: loyalty, charisma, an ability to present oneself well on television, and being ideologically aligned with him.
Although no candidate has officially announced their intent yet, these insights give us an idea of what type of person he would likely choose as his running mate.
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld even speculated that Tulsi Gabbard could possibly be chosen by Trump based off her past performance during her 2020 presidential campaign bid.
Names such as South Dakota Gov Kristi Noem, New York Rep Elise Stefanik, Arkansas Gov Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Arizona Republican Kari Lake, Larry Elder (who said he would accept an offer from either DeSantis or Trump), and Robert F Kennedy Jr have all been mentioned by one source or another as possible contenders for VP pick if selected by Donald J Trump himself.
