A previous report about a mass casualty incident turned out to be much more than it appeared, thanks to Joe Biden‘s lax immigration policies and cancellation of the construction of the border wall.
When this story first came out, the report discussed a crash between a Ford Expedition and a semi-truck that involved around 20 people, which resulted in 13 deaths and multiple injuries. Later, we learned that the deadly accident involved illegal immigrants being smuggled across the border.
In one of the deadliest crashes involving illegal immigrants sneaking into the United States, smugglers drove two vehicles through a hole cut into the border fence in California.
Part of a larger smuggling operation, the Ford Expedition and a Chevrolet Suburban entered the U.S. through the fence early on the morning of March 3. Surveillance video captured their entrance into the country, according to Gregory Bovino, the Border Patrol’s El Centro sector chief.
Pictures of the area where the vehicles entered show that a panel of eight steel poles, part of the border fence, “was lifted out and left on the ground in the desert next to an old tire and other debris,” according to a local news outlet.
Curiously, both vehicles were in accidents shortly after entering the U.S. The Suburban, which carried 19 people, caught fire for unknown reasons on the interstate. All of the occupants of the vehicle escaped, and were taken into custody by Border Patrol agents.
The local news outlet reported: “The Expedition crammed with 25 people continued on, and a tractor-trailer struck it a short time later. Ten of the 13 killed in that crash have been identified as Mexican citizens.”
The Border Patrol noted that its agents were not pursuing the vehicle before the accident.
“Human smugglers have proven time and again they have little regard for human life. Those who may be contemplating crossing the border illegally should pause to think of the dangers that all too often end in tragedy, tragedies our Border Patrol Agents and first responders are unfortunately very familiar with,” Bovino said.
Democrats like Joe Biden act as if they sympathize with illegal immigrants, but really they just use them as a talking point. If they truly cared about these people, they would take steps to prevent illegal immigration from occurring. These people are often abused by smugglers, crammed into tight spaces to cross the border, left to wander in the desert with no food or water, and involved in serious accidents such as this case. Democrats’ lax immigration policies are directly responsible for the deaths of these illegal immigrants. Of course, the mainstream media will never report on this issue.
