When James Baker turned out to be smack in the middle of the Twitter censorship scandal, Jonathan Turley was surprised. Not half as surprised as Elon Musk was. Nobody bothered to tell the new owner that the controversial Clinton connected agent of the Deep State was even on the payroll.

Jim Who? Baker

The world was rocked on Friday, December 2, when the first installment of “the Twitter files” was published. Everyone expected more over the weekend and wondered why nothing dropped. Then, independent journalist Matt Taibbi who’s responsible for reporting the file dump, tweeted out the answer on Tuesday.

We can now tell you part of the reason why. On Tuesday, Twitter Deputy General Counsel (and former FBI General Counsel) Jim Baker was fired. Among the reasons? Vetting the first batch of ‘Twitter Files’ — without knowledge of new management.” Even Elon Musk was shocked to hear the news. It was “former Wall Street Journal and New York Times writer Bari Weiss” who broke the story. She’s also “involved in reviewing the social media giant’s internal documents related to The Post’s Hunter Biden story.” Musk didn’t have a clue the slimy rat was even on the payroll. He wasn’t for much longer.

In light of concerns about Baker’s possible role in suppression of information important to the public dialogue, he was exited from Twitter today,” Musk tweeted.

The process for producing the ‘Twitter Files‘ involved delivery to two journalists (Bari Weiss and me) via a lawyer close to new management. However, after the initial batch, things became complicated,” Taibbi added in a tweet of his own. He also explained that Weiss discovered “that the person in charge of releasing the files was someone named Jim. When she called to ask ‘Jim’s‘ last name, the answer came back: ‘Jim Baker.’ My jaw hit the floor.

Jonathan Turley takes it from there to explain things to the public.

As thousands of Twitter documents are released on the company’s infamous censorship program, much has been confirmed about the use of back channels by Biden and Democratic officials to silence critics on the social media platform. However, one familiar name immediately popped out in the first batch of documents released through journalist Matt Taibbi: James Baker. For many, James Baker is fast becoming the Kevin Bacon of the Russian collusion scandals.” What he means by that is everyone is within “six degrees” of him. In other words, he’s plugged into the entire Deep State underworld.

The go-to, speed-dial contact

The words James Baker and Trump-Russia collusion go hand in hand. The former lawyer representing the Federal Bureau of Instigation in court “has been featured repeatedly in the Russian investigations launched by the Justice Department.

Clinton lawyer Michael Sussmann used him for a “go-to, speed-dial contact,” he testified at trial, when, as Turley describes, “he wanted to plant the bizarre false claim of a secret communications channel between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.” Baker’s name “also appeared prominently in controversies related to the other Russian-related FBI allegations against Trump.

As soon as he left the FBI in disgrace, Twitter snapped him up as their “deputy general counsel.” That way he could lurk quietly in the shadows and “soon became involved in another alleged back channel with a presidential campaign.

Through Twitter, Baker “maintained the non-public channels with the Biden campaign (and later the White House).” He brought all of his bias with him.

When the New York Post blew the lid off an influence peddling scheme involving the entire Biden family, only weeks before the 2020 election, “Twitter moved to block the story. It even suspended those who tried to share the allegations with others, including the White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who was suspended for linking to the scandal.

They knew they were on shaky legal ground but Baker gave them the justification to go ahead and censor. It’s reasonable, he oozed, “for us to assume that they may have been [hacked] and that caution is warranted.” That was all they needed and the rest is history. Stay tuned, this one is way to big to cover all at once.
