One of the most popular players in the NFL is walking away.
JJ Watt, the defensive end for the Cardinals, announced that he just played his last home game.
Watt will finish out the season on the road, then he is done with football, at least as a player.
Changed the Game
Watt is one of those players that the other team has to gameplan against when he is on the schedule.
Watt is a former first-round draft pick for the Houston Texans, where he spent the majority of his career.
On Tuesday, he stunned fans when he made this post on Twitter…
Koa’s first ever NFL game.
My last ever NFL home game.My heart is filled with nothing but love and gratitude. It’s been an absolute honor and a pleasure.

The three-time Defensive Player of the Year, five-time All-Pro, two-time league sack leader, and 2017 Walter Payton Man of the Year entered the league in 2011.
However, over the last few years, he has been battling injuries.
That along with the birth of his son has surely given him pause for thought regarding continuing to play.
Watt will surely be atop the list of network recruits and possibly even a coaching candidate if he decides to go that route.
