On Memorial Day, America honors those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in defense of freedom, their lives. This year it falls on Monday, May 29. Busy Americans consider the weekend as marking the start of summer playtime. As we hit the sales and grill burgers by the lake, patriotic Americans still take a few moments to reflect on what it takes to keep the burgers coming and merchandise on the shelves. Our American way of life has cost a fortune in blood.
They fought for freedom
Freedom is never free and the price America has paid is a steep one. This Monday, there will be a national Memorial Day ceremony held at Arlington National Cemetery.
If you’ve never visited, the sea of markers stretching in all directions is an unforgettable sight. The changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns is stirring to children and adults alike.
American flags aren’t as popular as they used to be and that’s sad. Part of the reason the headlines have become so brutal is identifying as an “American” has become unpopular. Nationalism goes hand in hand with patriotism and the “nation” of America is being phased out. Brussels has been calling the shots for a while now.
God Bless the men and women who paid it all for our country.
Don’t forget their sacrifice this weekend. https://t.co/ZyavIwT1it

That’s because we have one big happy global government run by the bankers. Not just any bankers, the ones who serve the chemical, energy and pharmaceutical industries. They may look like a whole bunch of companies but it’s really one big monopoly with the same people managing the money for all of it. Freedom will soon be a thing of the past, along with things like “borders.”
If Americans don’t wake up to what all those grave markers really mean, then instead of burgers we’ll soon be eating bugs. Each and every marker at Arlington and scattered across the globe represent a valiant soldier who stood up to defend American freedom, though it cost them their life.
Patriotic Americans spend Memorial Day celebrating “the men and women who shed their blood and sacrificed their lives in service to the United States.”
Last full measure of devotion
President Abraham Lincoln was sick of death by the end of the Civil War. Nobody wanted to fight but the war had to happen. The issues still haven’t been totally settled but America as a nation survived the vicious schism. Lincoln gave a dedication speech for the battlefield cemetery at Gettysburg in 1863.
That day, he spoke of the bitter sacrifice. Each of the fallen troops on both sides having given “the last full measure of devotion” to the nation. They weren’t the only generation to fight for freedom.
Many of us remember Vietnam. Even those who didn’t serve remember the images regularly plastered across the television screen. College students protesting the draft as ROTC graduates “returned home from Vietnam in flag-draped coffins.” The lines of coffins were endless.
Good morning. This Memorial Day weekend, I hope everyone knows the real reason why you can enjoy your cookouts, day at the beach, etc. Especially all you scumbag liberals who, unfortunately, get to enjoy the freedom provided by someone else. We all know you cowards can't do it. pic.twitter.com/uj4tM5lotV

It’s been that way ever since George Washington and the treasonous radicals we like to call our Founding Fathers told King George where he could stick his tax on tea. Freedom started there and we’re still fighting for it today. America isn’t currently at war with anyone but China, Russia, and Iran have all been itching for a fight, lately.
This year, families will be gathering around the graves of veterans from Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. While not everyone has been touched directly by such tragedy, all of us need to take some time from the fun and games to reflect on what freedom really means.
The political news is getting scary but it’s important to remember that those founding fathers knew what they were doing when they hammered out our constitution. We also need to remember, unless we’re willing to fight to keep our freedom, and fight to the death, we’re going to lose it.
