Boston, Massachusetts, is reporting that a mob of deplorable patriots had a party on Saturday. Domestic right-wing terrorists dumped a whole bunch of valuable tea into the harbor to mark “the 250th anniversary of the revolutionary protest that preceded America’s independence.” Liberal Democrats are terrified of what the next couple of years have in store, as one Republican milestone after another will be re-reported in the headlines.

Boston Tea Party 2023

On December 16, 1773, a group of brave and patriotic domestic terrorists had a little tea party. A quarter of a millennia later, local residents are having a blast recreating our history. Right or wrong is only a matter of opinion when it comes to political action.

The side that wins was right and the other side wrong, no matter who does what to who. The IDF and Hamas are a perfect example. Is flooding the goat humpers’ tunnels with sea water fair? When IDF wins, they’ll say “absolutely.

The big Tea Party commemoration featured “reenactments of the throwing of tea leaves into the city’s harbor” and also showcased “community meetings that preceded the defiant act.

This time around folks got to see how that works with spotlights and microphones added to the mix. Thousands of visitors were expected for the patriotic celebration.

As crowds gathered to watch the Boston Tea Party in action, the spectators quickly got into the spirit. Everyone was “shouting ‘Huzzah!‘ along with the costumed actors as boxes of tea were dumped in the harbor.

A little later on, as King George III’s order “closing the bay” was read, the crowd “resoundingly booed.” The thing that really terrifies progressives is the way the assembled masses “cheered as narrators detailed the drafting of the Declaration of Independence.

Rockets’ red glare

The red glare of rockets was an added touch as the party organizers set off fireworks over two of the ships used in the reenactment, the Eleanore and the Beaver.

Spectators were thrilled as an actor portrayed Samuel Savagae presiding over the “Meeting of the Body of the People.” It was delivered inside the Old South Meeting House, bringing history to life.

For historical accuracy, organizers actually got the tea to be used for their reenactment party from the East India Co. They happen to be “the same British company that was at the center of the raucous dispute.

While the subject of taxation and representation, or lack thereof, is being boldly discussed, our Congressional lawmakers fighting tooth and nail over an attempt to balance the budget are hearing the message loud and clear.

The “Sons of Liberty and others boarded East India Co. ships and dumped their valuable haul — some 92,000 pounds of tea worth nearly $2 million today — into the murky waters of Boston Harbor.

That kicked over a major hornets’ nest. “Great Britain responded with military rule and other sanctions on Massachusetts, stoking American opposition to colonial rule.” They lost, we won. Thanks to the Boston Tea Party, we have a republic. If, that is, we can keep it.
