Few will argue the idea that kids are out of control these days.
This soft generation has raised kids that are belligerent and disrespectful.
Having said that, special needs children are a different story altogether.
When you teach these children, the situation calls for patience and calmness at all times.
That, however, is not what a former Central California elementary school principal showed in a video that is blowing up right now.
Can’t Do That
In the video, Wolters Elementary School Principal Brian Vollhardt is seen talking to what we assume are other teachers when a special needs student approaches them.
The child points his finger at the man, clearly agitated.
You can see Vollhardt look at one of the other adults in dismay.
The child does not let up, then Vollhardt inexcusably shoves the child to the ground…
School District Superintendent Bob Nelson called the actions “repugnant” and “absolutely not tolerated at any level within Fresno Unified.”
The incident has been reported to local police in June but for some reason, the police chief is only now becoming aware of it.
Fresno Police Chief Paco Balderrama stated, “I can tell you as a police chief in this community, I have a real problem as to the way that this child was treated.
“As a parent of a 9-year-old kid, which is a very similar age to the victim in this case and who also suffers from anxiety and doesn’t always handle situations in the best way, it is troubling as to how somebody who is supposed to protect this child and provide support, treated them.”
Vollhardt has since been charged with a misdemeanor charge of willful cruelty to a minor.
It seems like every day we find out that teachers are doing more harm than good to our children
