White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre proved she is a coward and knows this administration is about as corrupt as it gets.
As you know, the Durham probe was released.
When it was, rather than answer questions about it, she abruptly ended the press conference and walked off the stage.
Time to Go
I am not sure what is more telling about this entire situation.
Was it KJP walking off the stage or was it the fact that every reporter ignored the Durham report except for the very last person that was called on.
Not a single person brought it up until RealClearNews’ Philip Wegmann asked her, “What is the White House reaction to special counsel report on how the FBI handled the Trump-Russia probe?”
KJP responded, “I would leave it to the Department of Justice to speak to that.”
Wegmann came back, “The president talks often about how he wants the DOJ and FBI to remain independent and above the fray.
“That report seems to reflect the opposite.
“Does he agree with Special Counsel Durham that there needs to be wholesale changes at the FBI?”
You can see the agitation in her face as she responds, “Again, that is with the Department of Justice.
“That’s not something that I’m going to speak from the podium.
“As you just stated in your question, we believe in an independent Department of Justice.
“That’s what the president said when he was running and that’s what the president has said the last two years.
“Thank you so much. I’ll see you guys in Japan.”
Let’s also not forget that when all this was happening in real time, KJP was tweeting her little fingers off about Russian collusion.
Like at least three other members of this administration, she has been rewarded with a high-profile position.
The others being Jake Sullivan, Antony Blinken, and Andrew Bates.
We could make it four if you want to include Jen Psaki in there, who has already departed the administration.
