DNC Quietly Takes Steps To Quash Biden Rebellion

As prominent Democrats continue to call for President Joe Biden to be replaced as the party’s presidential nominee amid concerns over his clear cognitive decline, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has quietly taken steps to quash this rebellion.

While it has been clear for some time now that Biden has been declining severely in both his physical and cognitive health, Democrats refused to acknowledge the problem — even going so far as to cover up Biden’s decline — until it was made obvious to the world in the first 2024 presidential debate.

Soon after Biden’s abysmal performance, prominent Democrats began acting as if this was the first public evidence of his inability to continue as president — which led to an onslaught of calls for Biden to step down from his position, or at the very least drop out of the race to allow a younger candidate to take his place.

These calls have appeared to only cement Biden’s resolve to stay in office and continue the race for reelection, with the president making several defiant statements defending his cognitive health.

“Look, 14 million people voted for me to be the nominee in the Democratic Party, OK?” the president stated during an interview with NBC on July 15. “I listen to them.”

While there is technically still some time before he is officially nominated as the Democrat candidate at the DNC convention in August, the deadline for replacing his name on the ballot has already passed in states like Wisconsin, a key swing state. The DNC is keenly aware of this, and thus has reportedly been taking steps to officially nominate Biden much earlier in order to quash the rebellion.

“We look forward to nominating Joe Biden through a virtual roll call and celebrating with fanfare together in Chicago in August alongside the 99 percent of delegates who are supporting the Biden-Harris ticket,” DNC chairman Jaime Harrison told Axios in a statement.

Democrat leaders have demanded to hold the vote for their nominee in person on August 19, but the DNC has announced that delegates will have to cast their vote virtually from July 29 to August 5. This would mean that Biden only has to fend off demands for his ouster for roughly two more weeks until the virtual nomination process is completed, rather than holding out against the growing Democrat rebellion nearly four weeks. After he is officially nominated, it will be next to impossible to replace him on the presidential ticket.
