ICYMI – The oldest living president appears to be on his final days.
Former President Jimmy Carter is now in hospice care.
Carter has been in and out of the hospital.
Time for Comfort
With the diagnosis appearing to be quite gloomy, Carter’s family has decided to bring the former president home to live out his final days.
The family stated that they “decided to spend his remaining time at home with his family and receive hospice care instead of additional medical intervention.”
The family “asks for privacy at this time and is grateful for the concern shown by his many admirers.”
Carter won the presidency in 1976.
With few wins and economic woes, Carter will be remembered for his presidential failures and far more success after leaving office than when he was in office.
Carter has been ready for this moment for some time, so I expect he will go in grace.
While battling cancer in 2015, Carter stated, “I’m perfectly at ease with whatever comes.
“I’ve had an exciting, adventurous and gratifying existence.”
Hopefully, his final days will be comfortable.
