People’s Convoy Rolls Out ‘Special Forces’

On Wednesday March 16, We the People threw D.C. city administrators another curve ball. At least one group of People’s Convoy supporters splintered from the main group and headed into the Capitol. They’re calling for an end to the Emergency Act and also for their representatives to understand “they work for us.”

Convoy special forces

Convoy organizers kept Wednesday’s plans private. Over the CB radio, the rolling drivers cryptically chatted about the “special forces unit” they had inside D.C. that day. “There wasn’t really a set plan,” Maelynn Douglas relates. “We just felt like today was a nice day to come down to just spread the word.” She and her 15-year old twin sister came with their grandpa, 67-year-old Glenn Hopkins to go undercover and walk “around the Mall among the usual tourists.

One granddaughter wore an American flag as a cape and a “Let’s go Brandon” sweatshirt. It was their first visit and they took lots of snapshots. They joined the peaceful protest in Albuquerque last month with a F-150 four-wheel-drive pickup truck. Contrary to local fears, Hopkins “has no intentions of blocking a city street.

The first week after the People’s Convoy arrived at the Hagerstown Speedway on Friday, March 4, was as productive as it was busy. We the People spent Saturday getting set up, while waiting for additional reinforcements to arrive.

On Sunday, the entire community rolled around the I-495 beltway to get the lay of the land and scout the territory. Over the rest of that business week, We the People stuck to running the beltway loop. Meanwhile, select delegates conducted business with Senators and other lawmakers behind the scenes at the Capitol.

Tuesday, March 8, was a big day for the convoy cause but a bad day for free speech. We the People fought tooth and nail to get the official livestream into the meetings. Some of us were lucky enough to watch them as they went out live. It wasn’t long before the video records were censored into oblivion.

The morning meeting with Senators Ted Cruz and Ron Johnson could not have gone any better. Patriotic young American “Kid Cowboy” stole the show that day. First with the impassioned story he told to the senators, then with the way he fiercely defended the Truth from rabid media mis-informants.

Heavy backup along for ride

The People’s Convoy delegation brought backup with them in the form of Chris Marston, Chairman of the American Foundation for Civil Liberties and Freedom. Also at the meetings were Dr. Paul Alexander and Dr. Pierre Kory. Dr. Alexander “is a Canadian health researcher and a former Trump administration official at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during the COVID-19 pandemic.” He’s famous with We the People for his passionately delivered slogan “lock them up, lock them all up,” when referring to Anthony Fauci and all the Deep State doctors at CDC and NIH.

Dr. Kory is a controversial “critical care physician who gained attention during the COVID-19 pandemic for advocating widespread off-label use of certain drugs as treatments for COVID-19.” The things they said to the senators were the reason given by YouTube for censoring Wysiwyg TV into oblivion.

Weather prevented the group from rolling safely, so they stayed in camp Wednesday. The low point morning’s meeting was news that the livestream videos had been censored due to alleged “Covid misinformation.” Things were brighter the next morning. Especially because Senator Ted Cruz showed up to show support and rolled out with the convoy, riding shotgun in the lead truck.

Mainstream media did their best to ignore all of it. After another successful tour of the beltway, on Thursday, We the People returned to learn that Kid Cowboy had been placed on the Delta Airlines no-fly list for wearing a “Let’s go Brandon” hoodie. He took it off when they asked him to but that wasn’t good enough for the sensitive liberal pilot.

Friday rounded out the work week with a meeting between Convoy participant Randy Jackson of Haines, Alaska and his Senator, Dan Sullivan. The biggest thing Randy brought back from the meeting with his senator is “if you have an ability to contact your congressman, do so.

He also gave a big shout out to everyone who melted down Dan Sullivan’s phone lines. They “gave him an earful for not going on livestream with us.

Convoy twists the route

Things started to take a twist on Monday, March 14. That was the seventh trip around the beltway and half the convoy members were expecting their horns to make the walls of Washington collapse like Jericho. The police seemed to think so, too. At least, their bosses did. What made officials nervous was a change in the route. Instead of remaining on the 495, the plan was to run right through the belly of the beast on I-695.

At no time did anyone plan to exit the freeway. From an abundance of panic, D.C. Metro Police closed down every single exit both directions. It was a whole lot more dangerous for the average Washington commuter than it was annoying to We the People.

Everyone can see the responsibility for all the dangerous chaos and confusion lies with city officials, not We the People. All the peaceful protesters were doing was going for a drive. The Constitution says they have that right. Tuesday was a repeat of the same route.

This time, officials escalated the confusion by not only blocking the exits, they closed an entire freeway, then forced the trucks accompanying the convoy to travel down a “no trucks” route, further adding to the danger and confusion.
