In the early days of the Paul Pelosi attacking scandal, there was a lot of misinformation put out.
Most of that came from a report filed by Miguel Almaguer.
Almaguer’s report made a lot of insinuations, most of which turned out to be completely untrue.
This is a Problem
The biggest issue with the initial report was that it made it sound as though the police hesitated, but that was not the case.
From the video, when police arrived, they told both men to put down the hammer.
This is when the struggle started and within a split second, Pelosi was struck, and police had apprehended the attacker.
To some, that was Almaguer hitting the report dead on, but I did not see it that way.
An NBC insider stated, “The first thing that was wrong with it, there is a real question as to how much he knew.
“Then, there is a question as to what the second source was.
“What was the confirmation?”
He continued, “Miguel f—-d up.
“It’s not clear that he had anything approaching two sources, and it’s not clear that the first source was more than a tip.”
NBC News insider says Miguel Almaguer 'f—ed up' by running Paul Pelosi story carelessly on just one tip https://t.co/aztBLEHGW0

There are more than a few people sticking up for Almaguer, however…
So it turns out Miguel Almaguer was completely accurate in his reporting about the assault of Paul Pelosi.
So why did NBC suspend him, yank the report, and scrub it from their website?https://t.co/ovIiWfyptP

He clearly got some key facts wrong. At the very least, his wording was suspect, but that report is what got the ball rolling on a lot of conspiracy nonsense.
