Early Friday morning, reports blew up that House Speaker Pelosi’s (D-CA) home was broken into.
We later found out that her husband, Paul, was severely beaten.
An intruder had broken into their home and struck Pelosi with a hammer multiple times.
Looking for Nancy
When the reports broke on this, conservatives were hoping this was not some whacko and a politically motivated attack, but that is now what it appears to have been.
When the man entered the home and saw Paul, he reportedly asked him, “Where is Nancy, where is Nancy?”
Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s spokesperson, explained, “Early this morning, an assailant broke into the Pelosi residence in San Francisco and violently assaulted Mr. Pelosi.
“The assailant is in custody and the motivation for the attack is under investigation.
“Mr. Pelosi was taken to the hospital, where he is receiving excellent medical care and is expected to make a full recovery.”
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle immediately came out to condemn the attack, as they should.
We simply cannot have this attack associated with conservatives in any way, as that is exactly how Democrats will try to play this out.
In fact, it has already started.
Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) stated, “While the motive is still unknown we know where this kind of violence is sanctioned and modeled.”
Yet, when violence against Republicans and our justices took place, she sat on her hands.
We all want Pelosi out of office, but an attack like this only feeds Democrats; it does not destroy them.
Every Republican in the House and Senate needs to get on record ASAP decrying this attack because it is only a matter of time before the media starts pointing fingers at the ones that do not.
