One of The Greatest All Time Bands Could be Back Together Real Soon

One of the greatest rock bands of all time could be getting back together real soon, but they won’t. Fleetwood Mac won’t be touring any time in the foreseeable future.

Revival of the Retro bands

Lindsey Buckingham would love to see Fleetwood Mac do the usual post-retirement tour that all retro bands seem to make, scrounging cash to cover their prescription habits.

Aging Rocker Buckingham is no exception. He got tossed out of the band in 2019 but “pretty much everyone [in the band] would love to see me come back.”

There’s only one big problem. He’s not sure if returning to the group is “doable.” Stevie Nicks told him where to stick it. The fracas started just after “he finished a tour with Christine McVie supporting their 2017 duo album.”

That’s when “he asked if the band would delay its own planned trek so he could promote a solo album he was preparing.” Bands don’t like solo members. It gives them insecurity problems.

All he wanted was “an extra three months to just put it out and do some American dates before Fleetwood Mac goes out.” It was all set except for one snag. “And there was certainly one person who did not want to bestow that on me.” Stevie Nicks.

Like most other bands, the touring issue “led to other things that kind of built up around that.” Even though Stevie won’t talk to him, “he’s still in touch with drummer Mick Fleetwood.”
