Obama Family

Obama Family Worst Nightmare Becomes Reality

The worst nightmare of the Obama family is now becoming a reality, and it is definitely not a good look for the 44th President of the U.S.

Last December, “Empire” star Jussie Smollett was found guilty on five of the six felony counts of disorderly conduct for lying to law enforcement about being the victim of a hate crime.

Apparently, well-known Michelle Obama aide Tina Tchen admitted that she had some “limited involvement” in putting in a good word for Jussie Smollett to Chicago-area prosecutors. You can read the original story here.

The actor is not just facing a fine and possible jail time. It looks like the Osundairo brothers and the City of Chicago are ready to start their lawsuits. If you have been following this story then you know that these crooked brothers testified that Smollett paid them to fake the attack.

They had lawsuits on hold pending the outcome of the criminal trial, but now they can move forward. This truly must have the Obama family really, really stressed, to say the least.

According to the July 2019 legal filing, there were at least two dozen officers who spent weeks – and 1,836 overtime hours – investigating this hoax. You can’t blame them for wanting that exact amount of $130,106.15 spent on this hoax back.

The City of Chicago said that their decision to sue Smollet in 2019 to recover their costs has now been validated in the light of this guilty verdict.

“The City intends to continue to pursue its lawsuit to hold Smollett accountable for his unlawful actions and to demand that he compensate the City for costs incurred by the Chicago Police Department which took his false claims of harm seriously,” a statement read.

The Osundairo brothers had filed their lawsuit in 2019 as well.

They also sued Smollett’s attorneys in April 2019, claiming that these arrests damaged their careers and reputations.

They claimed in this defamation lawsuit that they were maliciously portrayed as liars by attorney Mark Geragos. (Frankly, that’s what they are, but I digress)

Ultimately, a federal judge stayed the lawsuit due to the fact that the criminal proceedings are still pending for Smollett because he has not yet been sentenced.

The brothers’ legal team is expected to file an update with the court by February 2; their lawyers noted last August that “with regard to settlement that nothing has changed in the Plaintiffs’ position.”

Smollett could get as much as three years in prison, but many legal experts are saying that is highly unlikely. He will probably get probation and community service.

If you recall, Smollett claimed that while he was being attacked these individuals were yelling, “Make America Great Again!” at the top of their lungs. Again, like I said, not a good look for the Obama family or for Jussie Smollett.
