The 14 year old nephew of the soon-to-be mayor of Milwaukee has been arrested after he allegedly carjacked and raped an 87 year old woman outside of the Waukesha Public Library while she was returning her books.

On November 30th, the teen held the woman at knifepoint and forced her into her car, then drove around while forcing her to perform oral sex acts on him.

The names of the teen and the victim have not been published, though the details of the case have been confirmed by Waukesha Police Captain Dan Baumann.

“This incident is sad and disgusting, but I’m very mindful of the privacy issues surrounding with both victim and suspect,” Baumann said.

Waukesha police have not released much information about the incident, stating that the community doesn’t need “more bad news,” likely alluding to the recent Christmas parade terrorist attack.

Local news outlet Wisconsin Right Now has confirmed that the teen is the nephew of Cavalier Johnson, who will be stepping in to be the acting mayor of Milwaukee, as the current mayor, Tom Barrett, has been appointed to an ambassadorship in Luxembourg.

On the day of the rape, parents at Les Paul Middle School, where the teen attends, were sent an email. It stated that the school went “into a lockdown security measure. This was done in a response to an event in the community.”

Five minutes later, the lockdown was released after an “all-clear” was given by the Waukesha Police Department.

The crime became apparent when a school resource officer saw the elderly woman in the school parking lot trying to get an officer’s attention by waving down an empty squad car. He could see she was obviously in distress, and went to go talk with her.

Later that day, the suspect was found by police in the woman’s car and was taken into custody. Police also found items belonging to the woman at the teen’s home.

His mother has been trying to fundraise for his defense on Facebook. On the fundraising post, she wrote: “He has looked up to his uncle who is in politics his whole entire life inspiring to be just like him.”

“My son came into a group of young men who he thought were his friends and talked him into doing something that he should’ve had a mind-frame strong enough to know it was a terrible decision and now the county is declared him a menace to society,” she added.
The teen may be tried as an adult.
