Now that They Have Defunded the Police, Dems Secretly Working to Use Your Tax Dollars on THIS

Dems

Defunding the police wasn’t woke enough for New York Dems. Now, they’re secretly getting ready to hand illegal aliens and convicted criminals direct payments of “more than $27,000” each. They think of it as sort of a coronavirus pandemic stimulus back payment. They forget that the money they hand out is your tax dollars at work.

Dems promise direct payments

Left-leaning Politico couldn’t wait to report that Andrew Cuomo’s office is trying to convince state lawmakers to create what Dems call an “Excluded Workers Fund.” The purpose would be to fork over direct payments to “undocumented immigrants and formerly incarcerated individuals.”

They missed out on the other rounds of checks. Because they were either in jail, illegal, or both, they had a really hard time finding work in the pandemic.

Even Politico can’t believe the lengths liberal Dems have gone to this time. “Just to be even clearer,” they specify, “New York’s proposal would provide some recipients with more than $27,000.”

Democratic state Sen. Jessica Ramos confirms that “right now discussions are around eligibility and access.” In other words, consider it a done deal but they’re still working out the finer details.

The scheme making its way through the Senate now would declare “illegal immigrants and people who have been released from prison since October 2019 would be eligible” for the huge checks.

Dems in the legislature are totally convinced that raiding the Treasury is a must because “these individuals were not able to establish a requisite work history that would make them eligible for unemployment benefits.”

A full $600 per week

The way that Dems have it figured out, there will be a first round of stimulus with “illegal immigrants and ex-convicts” getting “an immediate payment of $20,700, with an additional $6,600 coming later.” There is a madness to their method. The liberal majority are anxious to start printing money.

They want to open up the program to “those who have suffered losses in income over the past year but have not been eligible for the various federal programs.” That specifically includes “people such as undocumented immigrants as well as those who’ve been released from incarceration since October 2019 and thus did not develop the work history needed to be eligible for unemployment by the time the pandemic struck.”

Each and every one would “retroactively receive $600 for each week they were unemployed from March 27 through July 31, 2020.” Then they get reduced benefits. “They’d receive $300 for each week from Aug. 1, 2020 through Sept. 6, 2021.”

The Dems are patting themselves on the back for coming up with the idea. “Anybody who hasn’t worked for the duration of the pandemic would thus be eligible for an immediate payment of $20,700 and could eventually receive an additional $6,600.”

When all is said and done, the program is expected to be a bargain at a mere “$3.5 billion.” Dems are dancing in the streets.

“This level of investment is absolutely historic for our communities,” Vanessa Agudelo of the New York Immigration Coalition told Politico. “It’s the biggest investment any state has made to provide this level of relief to those workers who have been excluded.”
