Second gentleman Doug Emhoff revealed on Tuesday that his wife, Vice President Kamala Harris, had berated him and cursed at him for not answering his phone immediately when President Joe Biden dropped out of the race — because he left his phone in the car during a spin class with his friends.
Emhoff — who has made headlines in recent months for having an affair with a nanny during his first marriage, allegedly making her get an abortion or causing a miscarriage, and reportedly hitting an ex-girlfriend in the face — told the story as if it was a funny anecdote during a podcast appearance on the “Dan Le Batard Show” on Tuesday.
The conversation began when Le Batard pointed to Emhoff’s previous remark that “communication is key” — then proceeded to highlight the fact that Harris was unable to communicate with her husband on the day that Biden ended his reelection bid.
“You were busy in spin class, right?” Le Batard asked, prompting Emhoff to nod and chuckle.
“That was right,” Emhoff said, smiling. “So, it was… I was in L.A… It was during that weekend when all the planes were down because of the software glitch, so I had to spend an extra day in L.A.”
“I decided to go to a cycling class with some friends,” he added. “And it was an hour class and we were just chit chatting. And I had my phone in the secret service car so I didn’t have my phone. And then my friend’s partner just showed me his phone with the letter from President Biden and I’m like ‘gotta go.’”
“And I just ran into the car, and there was my phone literally like you could feel the steam,” Emhoff continued. “Seven or eight messages, all with, you know, ‘Where are you?’ Call Kamala, call Kamala. And it was a one minute or less conversation, which started with, ‘Where the f—k were you? I need you right now’ and basically, ‘Get to work.’ And I did.”

In response to the clip shared on X by conservative commentator Collin Rugg, one user pointed out that this story is yet another example of the way Harris treats people behind the scenes — highlighting the fact that she is known for berating, cursing at, and insulting her staff.
“Doug Emhoff confirming why 93% of Kamala Harris staff left her. She’s an unhinged lunatic,” she wrote, prompting Rugg to reply with the receipts: a screenshot of remarks from professor Terry McAteer, whose son Gregory spent just one month as a staffer for Harris before quitting due to her abuse.
