Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is seeking reelection in the 2026 election at a staggering 84 years old.
The elderly congresswoman, who retired from her position of Speaker of the House in 2023, has represented California’s 11th congressional district since 1987. This district includes the radical deep-blue city of San Francisco. Pelosi was elected as Speaker of the House twice, serving from 2007 to 2011 and from 2019 to 2023, during President-elect Donald Trump’s first term.
Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings indicate that Pelosi has officially filed for reelection in the 2026 election, despite being well past the average life expectancy for women in the United States. While the vast majority of women at Pelosi’s age are relaxing in retirement and enjoying spending time with their kids, grandkids, and even great-grandkids, Pelosi would apparently rather be in Washington, D.C., trying to push through the radical left’s agenda and make more money with (alleged) insider trading.

The Washington Examiner contacted Pelosi’s office about the filing, though a spokesperson for the congresswoman refused to say whether Pelosi was running for reelection — but the outlet noted that “the paperwork is an early indication of her intentions.”
Pelosi is one of the ten oldest members of the U.S. Congress currently, and would be 86 years old during her next reelection campaign.
As The Post Millennial reported, “The most recent filing has prompted cries for term limits from individuals across social media, suggesting that Pelosi has been in office for an excessive amount of time and her reign should have already come to an end. Some people urged the incoming Trump administration to implement election reform that would include term limits in order to prevent Pelosi from running for reelection.”
One social media user pointed out that Pelosi would likely follow the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) lead, as Feinstein was severely ill and barely coherent in her last months in the Senate, dying at 90 years old while still serving in the Senate.
Pelosi “is running for re-election in 2026 and she’ll win because California loves misery. She’s going to Diane Feinstein this s—t and basically keel over in her seat,” the user wrote.

“More than half of Americans weren’t even born when Pelosi first took office in 1987, but she’s set on running again. If re-elected, she’ll be 86 by the end of her term, determined to stick around like she’s the national debt—old, massive, and apparently here forever. After nearly 40 years in office, is Pelosi really representing America—or just outlasting it?” popular X user Mario Nawfal wrote.
