MSNBC Shamed Over Headline: ‘Laken Riley’s Killer Never Stood A Chance’

MSNBC Heavily Shamed Over Shocking Headline

MSNBC was shamed so badly over a shocking headline that they were forced to edit it, with the original headline reading: “Laken Riley’s Killer Never Stood a Chance.”

On Thursday, MSNBC published an article by legal analyst Danny Cevallos, which discussed whether the conclusion of the trial of Jose Ibarra — the illegal alien who murdered Georgia nursing student Laken Riley — was inevitable from the start. Ibarra was convicted on all counts in a bench trial, with the judge only taking 19 minutes after closing arguments to return his verdict. Ibarra was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Cevallos’ article — titled “Laken Riley’s Killer Never Stood a Chance” — was a fairly straightforward piece analyzing the fact that the evidence against Ibarra was so overwhelming and public sentiment was so strong against him, and thus his conviction on all counts and life sentence were a foregone conclusion.

However, it wasn’t the content of the article that left Americans outraged — it was the ridiculously offensive headline, though that may have been done on purpose to generate outrage clicks.

Social media users were quick to condemn MSNBC and Cevallos for the terrible headline.

“An actual headline from MSNBC: ‘Laken Riley’s killer never stood a chance,’” conservative communications strategist Steve Guest wrote. “Ask yourself: Why is MSNBC writing sympathetic headlines for an illegal alien monster and killer? Why is MSNBC’s ‘legal analyst’ Danny Cevallos ok with this headline?”

“You know who never stood a chance? Laken Riley. The actual victim,” popular X user AG Hamilton pointed out.

“Look at how @MSNBC framed the conviction and sentencing of Laken Riley’s killer. Jose Ibarra never stood a chance? No. Laken Riley never stood a chance against this monster. Absolutely sickening,” Adam Johnston wrote.

Donald Trump Jr. also joined in on condemning the abhorrent headline, writing: “You literally can’t make up this level of depravity. These people are sick. The guy is a murderer. He’s an illegal alien that killed an innocent young woman but MSNBC would rather go to bat for him. However, much you hate MSNBC it’s not enough!”

Even legendary comedian and podcast host Joe Rogan chimed in, asking: “What the f—k is this s—t?”

“There’s a reason NBC wants to sell MSNBC … It’s the same reason nobody wants to buy it,” Twitchy’s PolitiBunny argued.

The outrage was so widespread that MSNBC was forced to edit the headline on Friday morning, with the new headline reading: “The guilt of Laken Riley’s killer was never in doubt.”
