A longtime favorite actor has passed away.

Paul Sorvino, probably most famous for his recurring role on “Law & Order” as well as playing Paulie in “Good Fellas,” has passed away.

He was 83 years old.

Another Legend Gone

Like many actors of his time, Sorvino found a niche playing mobsters and cops alike.

This was not to say he was not a great actor in other genres, but he thrived in those roles, as was evident in “Law & Order” and “Good Fellas.”

Sorvino was a workaholic, with a staggering number of credits on his resume.

Sadly, he now joins fellow “Good Fellas” star, Ray Liotta, who passed in May.

He also joins fellow tough guys Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts in the Sopranos) and James Caan (The Godfather) who also recently passed away.

On her father’s passing, Mira Sorvino, an Oscar-winning actress herself, wrote, “My father the great Paul Sorvino has passed.

“My heart is rent asunder- a life of love and joy and wisdom with him is over. He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much.

“I’m sending you love in the stars Dad as you ascend.”

His wife, Dee Dee, who was by his side when he passed, added, “Our hearts are broken. There will never be another Paul Sorvino, he was the love of my life, and one of the greatest performers to ever grace the screen and stage.”

Rest in peace, Paulie… you will be missed.
