Kamala Reportedly Planning Her Next Steps

Kamala Post Election Bombshell

Failed Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris is reportedly planning her next steps, telling her advisers to keep her options open for a potential 2028 presidential campaign or a 2026 run for California governor.

The vice president has essentially been in hiding since her devastating loss to President-elect Donald Trump in the election earlier this month, as she has had zero public appearances and has not made any big statements since her concession speech.

However, reports indicate that Harris has been telling her aides that she plans to stay “in the fight,” according to Politico. The outlet claimed that, while Harris visits family members over the holiday season, she is planning to gauge her political options — which reportedly include a 2028 presidential run or a 2026 gubernatorial run in her home state.

Politico spoke with one former Harris aide about the situation who reportedly stated: “She doesn’t have to decide if she wants to run for something again in the next six months.”

“The natural thing to do would be to set up some type of entity that would give her the opportunity to travel and give speeches and preserve her political relationships,” the former aide added.

Harris will be jobless beginning on January 20, 2025, and she doesn’t appear to have anything lined up. Many former Democrat politicians and failed Democrat politicians often go on to work for universities or institutions, or even focus on traveling for speaking engagements. However, many believe that Harris poor performance as a candidate — not only her loss, but her absolute failure to campaign on the issues — will not translate well to a job in the private sector, and will not make many people want to show up to any future events.

However, apparently Harris and her allies think differently, as one person close to the vice president told Politico that “there will be a desire to hear her voice” in the future while Trump is president.

The data does not suggest that this is true. Before Harris replaced outgoing President Joe Biden as the Democrat nominee, she was one of the most unpopular vice presidents in recent decades with a favorability rating of approximately 36% in March 2024. Her favorability suddenly shot up when she replaced Biden, which made little to no sense to most sane people, with many pointing out that nothing about Harris’ political positions or accomplishments had changed, only her position in the party.
