Judge Tanya Chutkan Openly Pronounces Trump Guilty More Than Once

With the trial of former President Donald Trump in the District of Columbia yet to start, it is clear that U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan has already reached her own verdict.

Recent review of Chutkan’s handling of Capitol incursion defendants by RealClearInvestigations yields an explosive result — she is not only biased but also has openly pronounced Trump guilty in court more than once.

This raises a lot of questions about whether Donald Trump will receive a fair hearing in Chutkan’s court and if not, what can be done about it?

In one case, Christine Priola, a Cleveland woman pleaded guilty to obstruction of an official proceeding and aiding and abetting and was sentenced to 15 months in prison by Chutkan.

But during the Oct 28th hearing, Chutkan made it clear that she held Donald Trump responsible for Priola’s actions and wished he were standing before her instead.

She stated that the participants “were there in fealty, in loyalty to one man – not to the Constitution, of which most of the people who come before me seem woefully ignorant, not to the ideals of this country, and not to the principles of democracy”.

She added “It’s a blind loyalty to one person who, by the way, remains free to this day” – implying she believed he should have been behind bars too.

In another case Matthew Mazzocco from Texas received 45 days behind bars although prosecutors asked only for probation; again Chutkan stated clearly that “one man” (Donald Trump) should have been standing before her instead.

These statements suggest that rather than being impartial towards both sides as required by law, Tanya Chuktan has declared her bias against the former president.

Congressman Matt Gaetz has recently introduced a measure asking for Tanya Chuktan’s censure and since then several other Congressmen have joined him raising questions about whether judge can be impartial when comes time for actual trial involving Donald Trump himself.
