Joe Biden Just ENDED IT… Americans Are FUMING

There could be roughly two million people over the next decade that lose out on jobs thanks to Joe Biden.

To cower to unions, Joe Biden is ending the Trump-era Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship Program (IRAP).

Unions wanted the program ended, and Biden has obliged.

Just Dumb

Trump’s plan addressed all industries that were expecting an explosion of growth.

The one area that was benefitting the most from the program was nursing, which was decimated during COVID.

Unions saw the program as a threat, so they picked up the phone and called their buddy.

Joe Biden, in turn, stole Trump’s idea to create the Talent Pipeline Challenge.

This is basically the same program as Trump’s only it concentrates on three employment sectors: broadband, construction, and electrification.

These also happen to be job sectors that are virtually entirely under the control of, you guessed it, unions.

In announcing the new plan, Biden stated, “Companies, many of you are here, are forging partnerships with unions, community college, local nonprofits to create apprenticeships that train workers to develop the necessary skills.”

Laborers’ International Union of North America did not even hide the real purpose of this, posting, “President Biden and Vice President Harris recognized that IRAPs were a threat to union workers.”

Yeah, God forbid people get hired, making a decent wage, and don’t have to kick back a percentage of their wages to corrupt union officials that do nothing for them.

Frank Ricci, a labor fellow at the Yankee Institute and supporter of the IRAP program, stated, “IRAPs proved to be successful in bringing apprenticeship programs to new industries, mitigated some of the nursing shortage we have faced throughout the pandemic, and expanded the number of women who participated in apprenticeships.

“The future of work will be increasingly dynamic, and the Biden administration’s continued undermining of bottom-up economic development in favor of a bloated bureaucracy and labor cronyism hurts the very people they claim to be helping.”

Greg Mourad, vice president of the National Right to Work Committee, added, “This is another example of Biden throwing workers under the bus just to magnify the power of his big labor buddies, something we can sadly expect more of as Biden and his allies increasingly depend on forced-dues-backed union political muscle to push through their increasingly unpopular agenda.”

Nice job, Joe.
