Hunter Biden was spotted leaving St. Matthew’s Church in Washington, D.C., cradling his baby son Beau, just before the Inauguration Day ceremony that will be held to swear in his father, Joe Biden, as the 46th president of the United States.
Hunter Emerges from Hiding
In one of his rare public appearances since it was formally announced that he is under investigation for shady business practices, Hunter, 50, was seen exiting the church wearing a face mask and a black jacket.
Hunter Biden insists that his business affairs with China and other corrupt business dealings were handled “legally and appropriately,” and his father has tried to distance himself from Hunter’s affairs by saying that he has “never even considered being involved in business with his family, nor in any overseas business whatsoever.”
It was reported in December, conveniently kept secret until after the election, that federal authorities had been investigating Hunter for violating tax and money laundering laws in his business dealings abroad, especially in China.
“I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs,” Hunter Biden said in a statement on December 10.
“I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors,” he added.
Joe Biden’s Connection to His Son’s Shady Dealings
On multiple occasions, Joe Biden and his campaign have claimed that the former vice president had no involvement in his son’s business dealings, but proof found on Hunter Biden’s laptop was revealed in October of 2020 that disputes these claims. The mainstream media and the left repeatedly tried to discredit the information, but it has been corroborated by several people.
As reported in an article for The GOP Times, “emails obtained by The New York Post show that Hunter Biden introduced his father, then the vice president, to a top executive at Burisma less than a year before Joe Biden pressured government officials in Ukraine to fire a prosecutor investigating the company.”
There are several other instances where Joe Biden is mentioned either by name, or vaguely, in the contents of the laptop.
The Inauguration
Hunter appeared to attend church with his family before heading to the inauguration ceremony, as his father was sworn in at 11:30 ET.
Kamala Harris will be sworn in by left-wing Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, while Joe Biden will be sworn in by “Republican” Chief Justice John Roberts.
According to news outlet The Sun, “In addition, pop superstar Lada Gaga will sing the national anthem and Jennifer Lopez will also perform. There will be about 1,000 guests in attendance, including members of Congress.”
